Charles Lester “Chuck” Schif

Charles Lester “Chuck” Schif, 88, of Hot Springs Village, formerly of Creve Coeur, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2016. He was born December 24, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late William and Lydia (Meyer) Schif. Chuck is preceded in death by his brother, William, daughter, Barbra Lewis and grandson, Robert Reece.

Chuck retired from the U.S. Postal Service and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his loving wife, golfing buddies, family, church family, and numerous friends. He was a member of Christ of the Hills Methodist Church.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the US Navy on the USS Perry as a gunner. Chuck is held in loving memory by his beloved wife, Shirley (Short) Schif, daughter, Charla Reece of West Palm Beach; sister, Betty (Eugene) Collins and brother Alvin Schif of St. Louis, Missouri; grandson, Michael Lewis of West Palm Beach; brothers- in-law, sisters-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church in the Hot Springs Village.

Memorials can be made to the Christ of the Hills UMC or a charity of choice.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home in the Hot Springs Village.
